As the retail industry continues to see growing interest in online sales, new categories such as furniture and auto parts are gaining steam in the online shopping space.
As customer buying habits move steadily toward online and mobile shopping, retailers of all shapes and sizes need to adopt new technology and software for multi channel retail.
US online retail sales alone are expected to reach $334 billion by the end of 2015 and will hit $480 billion within the next four years, according recent research from Forrester.
“Categories that were once trailing behind in online sales, like furniture and auto parts, will have compound annual growth rates of 15% and 11%, respectively, over the next five years as shoppers become more comfortable researching and buying these products online,” said the Forrester report.
