So, it’s the End of the Year (EOY) 2012.

Well, first of all it is after 12/21/2012 which just proves that it was the Mayan New Year and not the end of the world. But on to other things.

The date is 12/31/2012, the time is around 10:00am Central Time. And now I am finally ready to start the EOY for 2012.

Have I tested it, ah, that would be a no. Sad smile

Will I test it. Oh you better believe it. Smile

So, let’s backup the Production Databases, Restore them to the Test System (Note: not test databases, a whole separate Test System) and start testing.

Then, if and only if, everything goes according to plan, then I can move on to Production.

So, here’s to everyone else enjoying their New Year’s Eve and New Years Day, while I find out how many straight hours I can work without sleep. Smile

till later,

UPDATE

Ok, it is now almost 4:00pm Central Time.

Stop everything, Got to cut another check before I close out the year! Oh well, such is life.

Once I get the update on the test system finished I backup the production server and refresh the test and start over again.

Hey, sometimes you just have to go with the flow. :-)

till later
